You are closer than you think. What if you allowed this to be your truth today?
Doesn’t that feel exciting? Let it in. Doesn’t it feel better than worrying or wondering where your next success is or why it’s not here yet?
What if you allowed this statement to be your truth this week, this month, or even for the rest of the year?
With this as your mantra, how do you think it might change the way you walk into your next audition, callback or meeting? How might it change the way you treated people throughout your day?
What you want already exists. You are so much closer than you think. It’s just waiting for you to know it, believe it, expect it + then let it all go. (more…)
Will Smith is larger than life. His presence lights up the room. I witnessed this first hand when he cast me in his directorial debut on “All Of Us,” a sitcom that he + Jada Pinkett had created together years ago.
Will Smith + Wendy Braun on the set.
He is magnetic, full of life + a positive force of energy. Working with him was uplifting, inspiring + tons of fun.
The funny thing was, about 6 weeks earlier, I had cut out a picture of him (more…)
I auditioned for a fun role on “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” a week ago, Thursday, and when I didn’t hear anything by Friday, since these things cast fast, I figured I didn’t get it.
I let it go. I honestly didn’t really think about it. I didn’t ruin my weekend lamenting or thinking “where’s mine, woe is me or why didn’t I book that?” (which, of course, we all do from time to time.)
And I realized…
In fact, I turned my attention to the present moment + found myself feeling good about what was right in front of me.
How exactly did I let go + let in my success? (more…)
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr Day here in the United States, I have to share a quick story (and then I’ll reveal the 15 Habits That Will Increase Your Acting Success.)
Yesterday, Ray Charles’ Georgia On My Mind was playing on my Pandora playlist. My 6-year-old was coloring at the kitchen table and asked, “Mommy, is this Martin Luther King singing?” Fascinated by his question, I asked, “What made you wonder that, honey?” My son replied, “Well, he’s singing about the peace he finds, and that’s what Martin Luther King was all about…peace.”
It was a moment that took my breath away: My kindergartner knowing of the peace that MLK Jr. was seeking and me letting my son know this amazing leader did it all with love and not hate.
I honor Martin Luther King Jr. today as his brightly lit legacy continues to remind us all to stick with love:
“I have decided to stick with love, hate is too great a burden to bear.”
~Martin Luther King, Jr.
Speaking of love, hopefully you love being an actor. If you ever feel at a loss for what to do next, this week’s post will shine a light on 15 Habits That Will Increase Your Acting Success.
Since our destiny is created by our habits, and our habits are created by our choices, it really all comes down to the habits + choices we are making in our own lives + careers daily that will effect our success in the long run.
” Many of life’s circumstances are created by three basic choices: the disciplines you choose to keep,
the people you choose to be with,
and the laws you choose to obey.” ~ Charles Millhuff
So, this is a great time to ask yourself 3 important questions.
Are the disciplines you choose to keep helping or harming you?
Do you surround yourself with people who uplift you or who put you down?
What habits do you choose consistently and how do they effect your success + happiness? (I believe in both)

I BOOKED THE JOB! LISTENING TO CREATING POWERFUL AUDITIONS MADE A DIFFERENCE!
"Been listening to your "Creating Powerful Auditions" mp3 daily since purchasing about a week ago. Listened to it on the way to an audition...took a few moments before leaving my car to do the visualizations. I walked into the audition room feeling totally empowered, feeling light. I booked the job. I feel your album made a difference. Thank you, Wendy."
I'VE TURNED A SLOW STREAK INTO A BOOKING STREAK AND I FEEL REALLY EMPOWERED.
"Wendy is so generous with her knowledge and understanding of the deeper, inside work that goes into living a healthy, happy, well balanced actor life. Her daily inspirations mean so much to me...and I'm grateful for the custom guided meditation she wrote for me. I've turned a slow streak into a booking streak & I feel really empowered."
Community, iCarly, Good Luck Charlie
YOUR CREATION IS...VERY POWERFUL, IT CALMED ME, PREPARED ME & FOCUSED ME + I BOOKED JOBS.
"Since I began using your guided meditations I have now, in only a few months, booked up an entire year of work. Your creation is truly a blessing + very powerful. Before every audition I have done recently I have listened to at least 3 of your tracks and it has calmed me, prepared me and focused me."
I BOOKED TWO ACTING GIGS IN THE SAME WEEK BECAUSE I HAD HER CD ON REPEAT!
"I listen to Wendy's guided meditations pretty much every chance I get. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have her amazing voice in my ear keeping me empowered, inspired + in the right mental space to persevere day in and day out. I booked two acting gigs in the same week because I had Wendy's Creating Powerful Auditions album on repeat. Thank you WENDY for your positivity + light!"
SINCE LISTENING TO YOUR GUIDED MEDITATIONS, I BOOKED 2 FEATURE FILMS
"I bought Creating Powerful Auditions and I listen to it every morning. "Empowering Myself" is my absolute favorite meditation, sometimes I put it on repeat until I fully and truly feel every declaration. Since I've been listening to your guided meditations I booked my first feature film + also recently booked the lead role in my first horror film. Thank you for coming into my life!”
YOUR AFFIRMATIONS ALLOWED ME TO STEP OUT OF THE FEAR AND BE PRESENT IN THE ROOM.
"I just returned from an audition after listening to your guided meditations. Your affirmations allowed me to step out of the fear and be present in the room. As I waited for my audition I envisioned the session being successful and feeling empowered afterward. And it was and I did."
