This week brought one of those truly surreal “pinch-me” moments.
As anticipation builds for the premiere, the cast of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat was exclusively featured in People Magazine. Seeing the show appear there felt incredibly special after keeping this project under wraps for so long.
If you’ve ever worked on a production that had to remain completely secret, you know the feeling of holding something exciting quietly for months…
And then suddenly watching the news begin to ripple out into the world through outlets like People, Deadline, Rolling Stone, and The Hollywood Reporter.
That’s exactly what this week felt like.
I’m thrilled to be part of the cast of Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat, the new Prime Video series premiering March 20.
The feature introduces the full cast of characters audiences will meet throughout the series, all orbiting the world of Rockin’ Grandma’s, the fictional hot sauce company at the center of the story.
Each character brings their own personality, quirks, and agenda into the mix, which creates the perfect environment for the unexpected to unfold.
Meet Elizabeth.

I play Elizabeth, the polished and persuasive public face of a private equity firm who is looking to acquire the hot sauce company.
Elizabeth is charming, strategic, and very good at making everyone feel like she has their best interests at heart… especially her investors.
The theme this season is David vs. Goliath.
And Elizabeth? Well… she’s definitely Team Goliath.
I can’t wait for audiences to meet her.
What Made This Experience So Unique
Because the new temp employee Anthony doesn’t know the premise of the show (or that he’s even on a show), the actors must stay completely present and committed to their characters while responding naturally to whatever unfolds.
A project like this requires a rare blend of
mindset, improvisation and acting craft.
It was definitely peak performance under pressure.
There’s no “starting a scene over.”
No traditional “action or cut.”
No “going back to one.”
The safety net disappears.
Instead, it’s about improvisation, listening deeply, thinking on your feet, and supporting the story moment by moment without ever breaking the reality of the world.
Actors have to stay deeply present and grounded in character while adapting moment by moment as the story unfolds. It was a wild ride.
You learn quickly that it requires trust in yourself, your cast mates, and your skills. And it will test you on all of it. It made for one of the most exhilarating acting experiences I’ve ever had.

I Can’t Wait for You to Watch
Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat premieres March 20 on Amazon Prime Video and I can’t wait for you to see it.
Moments like this remind me that
the path is rarely predictable…
But when you stay committed to
your craft, your mindset, and honing your skills,
none of it is wasted time.
And you never know when all of them will be required.
Preparing like a professional means being ready when opportunity finally arrives.
Remember: the opportunity that changes everything begins with one audition, one “yes,” or one leap of faith.
But it’s the quiet seasons behind the scenes, where you do the work, the self-tapes, the growth that no one sees…that is what makes the difference.
If you’re in that season now…trust the future you can’t yet see.
And keep going, Sunshine.
Drop a comment below and let me know if you’re a Jury Duty fan and if you’re ready for the Company Retreat.
Love + Gratitude,
Wendy
