Our reaction dictates our experience. Find stillness, then respond.
In the rush and noise of our busy lives, from the alerts on our phones, our computers, to all of the daily requests + interactions, we must take time to create a feeling of calm amidst the chaos.
Our minds want to stay busy defining who we are, evaluating what we’ve done, adding meaning to events, and then letting us know (sometimes all day long) how we are falling short.
It is in finding stillness within + calming the chaos in the active mind, that your true image is reflected back to you.
It is in that stillness that your intuition is accessible, tension is released, and well-being abounds.
Best-selling author, (known as the first lady of yoga), Indra Devi explained it like this
“Like water which can clearly mirror the sky and the trees only so long as its surface is undisturbed, the mind can only reflect the true image of the Self when it is tranquil and wholly relaxed.”
This guided meditation will help you to relax deeply + find tranquility within, no matter what is going on all around you or within your mind lately.
It is our restlessness that causes chaos.
It is our reaction that dictates our experience.
Lao Tzu states, “To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”
Which is why taking this time to create stillness will guide you back to feeling calm amidst chaos.
