During the fast-paced holiday season, I thought it would be a good time to remind ourselves what people really want….
Isn’t that what we all want? Real connection. To really feel heard. To be appreciated + acknowledged?
It costs you nothing + is exactly what everyone you will come in contact with this holiday season wants from you…your presence.
Have you ever talked to someone at a holiday party who is not really listening to you, but looking over your shoulder to see who is walking in the door? Have you had dinner with a friend who is constantly checking their phone?
Have you ever been either of these people?
An Internet Trends report showed that the average person looks at their phone 150 times a day!
Nowadays, with technology at our fingertips 24/7, giving the gift of our own presence has become more challenging.
Sure, we all want to check the weather, the time and what our friends from high-school might be doing via Facebook, but remember, when you spend time with another, give them the gift of you really being there.
You’ll also notice that the more you practice being truly present in your life, the easier it will be to be truly present in your acting career.
Being present is where your acting gold AND your true happiness lie.
Here’s to a December full of your presence wherever you go!

The greatest gift I can give this holiday season is me being present.
I see myself being fully present with everyone who crosses my path.
I listen, connect + really hear what people have to say to me.
I honor myself by taking time to be present.
I take a deep breath in + feel at peace in this present moment, I exhale and let go of any thoughts about the past or worries about the future.
Being present is a gift I give myself this month.
Taking time for myself to relax and realign my mind is a priority for me.
I am here now.
I am present.
I put the phone down + connect. I smile. I lean in. I am present.
All is well in my world.
