What would create total fulfillment for you?
You may answer this questions with a long list of things you’d like to accomplish, experiences you’d like to have or the kinds of roles you’d like to play.
But what if there’s a way to create total fulfillment…right now?
There is. (And you might be surprised that it has nothing to do with accomplishing more.)
This week, what would happen if every time you had a free minute instead of reaching for your phone, you paused…and made a more conscious choice.
So instead of scrolling through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat, (occupying your mind with distraction, comparison or the endless search for how to improve yourself), you simply stopped.
And instead, you took a deep breath + recited this mantra….
Nothing is broken. Nothing is missing. Nothing is lacking.
I am whole + complete exactly as I am right now in this very moment.
That’s it.
If you did that a few times a day, you’d be practicing #RadicalSelfAcceptance.
If you did that for a week, you might be blown away at the wonderful surprises that start showing up in your life.
Ultimately, this is what creating fulfillment from the inside out looks like.
It doesn’t mean you don’t still pursue your career, or prepare your audition, or take action on your goals, but you do it all from a place of inner peace, not a place of need or desperation for external circumstances to change in order for you to feel fulfilled or happy.
So this week make a conscious effort…
- To pause more.
- To look up from your phone more.
- To be more present in your surroundings.
Who knows, you may just become a better actor in the process?
In fact, I was reminded this weekend that there’s nothing like being in nature to help you pause, connect + become more present.
I just got back from a quick weekend getaway with my husband at a dear friend’s wedding at a French Manor in the woods on the East Coast.
It was so lovely to be in nature, to sit with people at dinner and breakfast have no one be scrolling on their phone. We even went on a hayride and made s’mores!
Nature always reminds me of the divine timing of life and to simply stop and smell the roses, or, in my case, take in the tall trees….
Here’s to a week of knowing you are whole and complete exactly as you are right now.
Love + Gratitude,
Wendy
