How you start your day is how you live your life.
Do you scroll through email and social media before you even get out of bed? It’s not uncommon, but it’s also not helping you to be productive.
When your morning habit is to tune into what everyone else is doing, needing and wanting, you lose the valuable connection with your own inner knowing.
This connection is very powerful + will guide you throughout your day, but it’s not found by scrolling through Instagram.
Social media will most likely lead you to comparing and despairing. (Not ideal for motivating yourself to take action, first thing in the morning.)
Since your life is created by your habits, to wire yourself for success, you must create your own personalized version of morning motivation.
Here are some quick things you can do (before you even get out of bed) to start your day in a positive way.
3 Ways To Create Morning Motivation:
- Spend 3 minutes giving thanks.
Feel deep appreciation for as many things as you can, from your pillow, to your bed, to your beating heart, to the sun shining, to the roof over your head. When you begin the day feeling grateful for the littlest things, you train your brain to look for the good. - Send loving blessings to 10 people.
Picture yourself in the middle of a circle surrounded by your favorite people. Connect with each one + shower them with love and well wishes.
- Visualize what you want, as if it is done.
Whether you have an important audition, meeting or are working on a creative project, picture yourself on the other side of it, feeling good about the outcome. When you take time to visualize and feel, with emotion, your end result, you reprogram your subconscious mind to match your visualization. Ideas, people and resources will begin to appear to help make your vision a reality.
Imagine how it will feel beginning your day in that head-space, versus tending to the agendas of everyone else first. Do it for a week + watch what changes.
When giving yourself a dose of morning motivation becomes your priority, you’re practicing one of the best habits that will lead you to creating the happy life + successful career that you desire.
You’ll begin each day knowing what you want, knowing what to do next and most importantly, feeling inspired to take action.
I’d love to hear how YOU start your day. Leave a comment below + let me know.
Here’s to a month of creating morning motivation + inviting in radical transformation.
Love + Gratitude,
-Wendy
