As I was thinking of all the freedoms I am so blessed to enjoy in this country (including connecting with amazing actors + creatives like you from all over the world!), I ran across this quote from Steven Covey and wanted to share…
What an inspiring reminder that we all possess the natural abilities of
1) Self- awareness
2) Conscience
3) Independent will
4) Creative imagination
Which means, no matter what others think or say or do, you have the power to choose, to respond and to change.
That really is ultimate human freedom at its best.
But we each have to own that in our mind, body and soul, so say it with me:
No matter what others think or say or do…
I have the power to choose, to respond and to change.
Wherever you are in the world today, I hope you’ll take some time to pause and reflect on your own freedoms.
Feel free to comment below + let me know what freedom makes you feel most grateful.
Here’s to letting freedom ring.
Love + Gratitude,
Wendy

I opened this is a beautiful message at the start of my birthday. Ya universe! I am learning to have the freedom to choose, even though it’s hard to navigate waters you are unfamiliar with. I guess when you are pursuing a career in the arts, the tides can change at a moments notice. I keep telling myself “Be Kind to Your Mind”. When I know I am getting overwhelmed and sometime derailed from the course I am trying to keep on. I think of you often when I am in my garden Wendy. I appreciate you so much as I tried to find a better life balance.
Warm Thank You Hugs,

Happy Birthday! Yay Universe! And yes, no matter what is going on in the “external,” your power to choose, to imagine, to respond in a certain way is indeed under your control. So way to plant those seeds, water a better feeling thought and grow your beautiful garden of life. So lovely to have met you + be part of your journey.
Beautiful quote to share, with not only our creative industry but everyone. A deep truth to uplift me & to ruminate on – always – as the freedoms this country claims & celebrates has quite a different connotation for those who have not been granted them.
So glad this uplifted you. And yes, our inner world is truly all our own.
So much negative selftalk ! Thank you Wendy , i was needed to read this and be aware of this these days !
you are a gift!
You are so welcome. And that awareness is everything! It’s a daily practice for sure.
Love that we have the freedom to choose another thought. The reason I love personal development and self growth material so much is because it reminds me that I’m not a victim to many things, but especially any negative self talk.
I hope you had a great 4th with your family, Wendy 🙂
Thanks Tony!
Yes, it’s nice to know we can empower ourselves – that’s for sure.
At the end of the day, it really all is an inside game. Thanks for your comments.
Best,
Wendy
