With all that’s going on in the world right now (and especially in the U.S.), I hope you know that it’s okay…to not feel okay.
For me, when I’m not feeling good, I make it my mission to tune inward before taking action.
I’ve realized that taking emotional inventory before jumping into circumstances that don’t feel aligned to me is the key, but it takes conscious awareness.
Our emotions serve as an important internal guidance system, and when we take the time to process what we’re feeling and why, we are able to make better decisions.
So, if you’re feeling unsteady, uneasy or unhappy today, listen to that, honor it and allow yourself the space today to then do what feels best to you.
You may discover that doing the things you “said you were going to do today,” just don’t feel good. Maybe it all feels heavy right now. And that’s ok.
You might need a break.
You might need a good cry.
You might need some time to simply process your emotions.
And all of it is okay.
Today, I’m sharing a personal story of something that happened recently, and how “not okay” I felt in the moment and what I did about it.
Click below to watch the quick video…
I hope this helps you to know that it’s okay to not feel okay.
It’s okay to be overcome with emotion.
It’s okay to turn around (and go back home) when you’re not feeling good.
It’s okay to tune inward more and ask yourself what you really need.
It’s okay to reset and start again on another day.
I hope you make however you are feeling today okay, and that you practice flowing compassion and love to yourself (and others) while honoring your emotions.
Let me know in the comments below how you’re feeling today + what you really need right now.
I love hearing from you + hope this helps you to know you’re not alone.
Love + Gratitude,
-Wendy

Hi Wendy! Thank you for sharing your heart & your honesty. Take care, Pamela
Thank you for this, Wendy! How about bawling my eyes out right now? As I’m watching this? Because yeah, that’s happening.
Today I went to the park across the street from me, as I’ve been doing just to walk. I wound up at the farmer’s market I’ve been too afraid to see since this has happened, for the very reasons that you talked about. And of course, seeing that there are ropes now cordoning people off, seeing signs saying “do not touch the food, just point to it, please wear masks, please stand 6 feet apart” just had me bawling. I didn’t get anything, but it was the first time I had seen it since this all began, and it got to me.
And thanks to you, I know that that’s okay. Because none of us are really okay right now.
Wishing you peace today, Wendy. Love you.
Sweet Judy! I am so glad this helped you today. Our nervous systems have been taking on a lot, and processing all of our emotions can be challenging. So, I’m so glad this spoke to you – to let you know it’s okay to cry, to break down bawling, and to just be okay right now. I do believe it is ALL leading us into light, but we have to go through the darkness (globally personally) to get there. Be easy on yourself. Sending you lots of love. – WEndy
