With less than 80 days to go in 2019, (79 to be exact), I want to help you finish the year strong.
If you’ve been struggling in any way lately, just know that you are not alone, that we all have down days + that things can change so quickly (especially in this business)!
If you want to make a massive shift before the end of the year, here are a few things you can do.
1) Come see me in person at my complimentary LIVE masterclass.
In under 90 minutes, I will teach you how to create bigger results with far less effort + let go of all the struggle. To witness the amazing shifts that actors have when they come see me live, is mind-blowing.
Here’s what one actress (and Television Academy member) had to say after seeing me live:
“Attending Wendy’s Live Masterclass delivered a much needed peace, freedom + happiness that I can’t even begin to describe, plus I now have a roadmap for creating real breakthroughs,”
So, if you do one thing before the end of the year, commit to saving your seat for my free masterclass.
I only do these free live workshops once a year + they are filling up fast.

2) List your wins (from the last decade).
Not only are we closing out another year, but another decade is ending. Crazy, right?
Do you remember where were you in October 2009? Do you realize how far you’ve come since then?
Don’t wait until New Year’s Eve to take inventory on it all. Why not take a moment today + think back on your life and career since that time + write out your wins?
Here are some prompts if you need help.
- I have created…
- I am most proud of…
- I am most grateful for…
- have become more…
- I have learned…
When you really stop to focus on all you have done (and who you’ve become along the way), this particular day in October will feel less dire to you. When you can relax about it all and shift your focus, you are not only getting out of your own way, but inviting in more good things to celebrate.
3) Be mindful of your story. Then let it go.
Experts estimate that the mind thinks between 60,000 – 80,000 thoughts per day, and that about 80% of those thoughts are negative and about 95% are the same thoughts we had yesterday.
Yikes. This is why meditation + mindfulness can be so helpful in calming the mental chatter + the endless flow of thoughts.
You’ll be amazed at what slowing down + simply becoming more conscious of how you’re thinking will do for you.
To really change things in the next few months, try acknowledging the story you are telling yourself daily about “what is” or “what isn’t” showing up for you, and then instead of worrying more about it, try to simply let go of all the meaning you are giving to the story.
Then rewrite your script and choose more empowering thoughts:
For auditions: I have nothing to prove + everything to give.
For quiet times: Everything is unfolding exactly as it’s meant to.
For challenges: The times that don’t go my way are here to strengthen my purpose, deepen my self-compassion + expand my courage.
For overwhelm: One step at a time, it is all coming together.
When you become more mindful of your story + let it go, you’ll consciously create your day in a more positive way.
4) Do one thing that scares you.
There’s really nothing like “doing” something to get you out of your head. Whether it’s acting business related, or simply trying something new, plan to do one thing (or more) this week that gets you outside your comfort zone.
Ultimately, that’s exactly where everything you want lives.
5) Be of service.
If you really want to shift how you feel, go help someone else.
You don’t have to start a full blown charity, but how about signing up to feed the homeless, cleaning the beach or volunteering at a pet shelter?
My son’s 5th grade class now has required community service every month.
I love that they are teaching 10 year olds to give back and help others. When you come from a place of serving, you will be amazed at the abundance (and fulfillment) that flows your way.
No matter how many jobs you book or how high you rise in your career, I promise you, that your greatest fulfillment will be in serving others. So start now, no matter how small the step.
I began blogging over 10 years ago, with the intention of uplifting, inspiring + empowering actors all over the world.
It was a full circle moment last week, when this amazing young actress in Toronto, Keara Graves, that I follow on Instagram (who is also a Success Breakthrough Workshop alumni, now thriving in her life + career) posted this great quote that really struck me.
And then, as I read closer, I noticed, that I was the one who had written it.
You never know the ripple effect your encouraging word or thoughtful deed will have on someone’s life, so be brave, be bold, and decide to be of service this week.
Let me know in the comments below which of the 5 above suggestions you are taking this week?
And definitely make sure one of them is “See Wendy Live.” Can’t wait to meet you in person. Click here for all the details.
Here’s to an awesome week ahead + finishing the decade strong.
