There are 2 important questions you need to ask yourself:
1)How happy are you right now? Do you know that everything you want is because you think you’ll be happier once you have it. Every role, every possession, every relationship, every award, every accolade.
2) How much fun are you having on your journey as an actor?
Many actors who are unhappy today say they’ll just be happy when they “are on a series, book the job, or make a million dollars,” yet we’ve seen so many examples of actors with tons of success who are still miserable.
Why? Because you can’t have a happy ending to an unhappy journey. You’ve got to find ways to get happy now no matter what is going on in your career or life.
Happiness is an inside job. You don’t have to wait for your circumstances to change to find joy, but instead try changing where you are focusing your attention.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” –Dr. Wayne Dyer
Here are 7 habits to becoming the happiest actor you know: (more…)
As a professional actor, you probably set goals + have a plan of action, but if you want to significantly change your career + life, you must make this a daily practice:
Notice how you are speaking to yourself + others daily.
It might seem like no big deal to chime in with other actors at a callback about how long you’ve all been waiting, tell yourself you’re not really right for a role or post on social media that you hate pilot season, but every thought you think + word you speak has energy.
When you watch a movie or a television show, do you ever check an actor’s IMDB credits, biography or representation, compare it to your own and end up feeling bad about yourself?
Why compare + despair?
When you spend time wishing you had someone else’s career, you are depriving yourself of the beautiful life experiences that are actually happening to you right now. Comparing takes you out of being in the present moment. The past is over, the future is unknown, so all any of us have is this moment, right now. The good news is that ALL your power is in THIS moment. Here’s how to reclaim it and feel better!
Since the month of February seems to be all about LOVE, the question I’d like us to begin to ask ourselves daily is, “What do can I do to show myself more love today?”
Besides buying yourself flowers and chocolate (I’m all for that too!), you can use this question to trigger ways to be a little kinder to yourself – mentally, spiritually, physically & emotionally. Here are 10 ways to get started.… (more…)
”I have doubts about almost everything. I don’t think there’s an actor that doesn’t have huge gaps in confidence. I’m not confident as an actor, I’m not confident as a director. I just know I can complete the day.” -George Clooney
Every actor out there has felt doubtful, negative, and frustrated, even George Clooney! It’s what you do with these feelings that determines your outcome.

Watching the Oscars has always been an inspiration to me since I was a little girl. And yet, if you had to name who won in the top 6 categories this year, could you? How about the best actress & actor winners of the past 5 years?
My point is that even though winning an Oscar may be the highlight of one’s career, it’s still just one moment in time. And since becoming an “overnight success” usually takes years of hard work, the bigger question is, How Much Fun Are You Having Along The Way?
Are you waiting for bigger and better things to happen in your career and THEN you’ll be happy?
“When you don’t need the stuff as the evidence of your accomplishment,
but make the improved emotion your evidence, you’re stuff will get here a whole lot faster” ~Abraham-Hicks
Make this the year to have fun along the way, and you’ll be amazed at what flows to you! When you are finding joy in other areas of your life, it will also begin to show up in your career.
I BOOKED TWO ACTING GIGS IN THE SAME WEEK BECAUSE I HAD HER CD ON REPEAT!
"I listen to Wendy's guided meditations pretty much every chance I get. I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have her amazing voice in my ear keeping me empowered, inspired + in the right mental space to persevere day in and day out. I booked two acting gigs in the same week because I had Wendy's Creating Powerful Auditions album on repeat. Thank you WENDY for your positivity + light!"
